Spygate part 2?

Really Denver? How pathetic can your organization be when you try to cheat by video taping the SF 49ers before you played them in London and STILL LOST! You lost to a team that had a 1-6 record that was starting their 3rd string quarterback Troy Smith and it's a disgrace.

Josh McDaniels hired this camera man that had a history of video taping opposing teams practices and pregame walk through's in New England. This makes me question the integrity of his entire time coaching the Broncos. It's disgusting behavior and is a embarrassment to the entire league when an "incident" of this nature occurs.

ESPECIALLY when the whole purpose of playing a regular season game in another country is to expand the global appeal of the NFL and the Denver Broncos were chosen to represent America's #1 sport in a respectable way. The consequence issued by the league should be more severe than the punishment given to the Patriots in 2008 since this will be a SECOND offense.
I believe they must relinquish a first round draft pick to the 49ers plus 500,000 fines each by the Owner, Coach, and the man responsible for recording the videos. Hopefully this will keep other organizations from doing such malicious acts of cheating. Those are just my thoughts.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A good quarterback is VERY hard to find...

When I look around the NFL and notice all the Quarterback injuries this season, it makes me wonder about the lack of depth available at the most important position in the game.  Any team that has the luxury of one or more QUALITY quarterbacks on their roster is truly lucky and unique! Eagles head coach Andy Reid seems like a genius now for keeping Mike Vick and Kevin Kolb on his roster. Both are capable of being great starters that can lead the offense to victories. Titans coach Jeff Fischer is lucky to have Kerry Collins that took over on Monday night after starter Vince Young went down with a knee injury.

Less than HALF of the 32 NFL teams can say they have ONE high quality QB to start in games. Why are they so hard to find? Why is it always a crap shoot, rolling the dice on rookie quarterbacks we expect to be great? Most turn out to be complete busts. Such as Alex Smith, David Carr, Jemarcus Russell. Trent Edwards, Brady Quinn, Matt Leinhart, and the list goes on....

How can Pop Warner, High School, and Collegiate programs develop these players at a young age to have the skill set, mentally and physically, to become great leaders, poised and smart, with mobility and knowledge of coverages and mental capacity to memorize plays, understand the x's and o's so that the transition from college to the pros can run smoothly. Or some kind of internship program for each position that earns college credit for real  professional experience to know what to expect.

I'm not saying everyone should do this, but all elite programs with highly recruited players should prepare them for the next level. Just a suggestion. The real lack of talented QBs in the NFL really upsets me. 49ers quarterback Alex Smith, former #1 overall pick, is HORRIBLE! He still is starting every game because there are no other options available! The same problem exists for many teams in the league. Including Raiders, Panthers, Browns, Jaguars, Bills, Cardinals, etc.

Even backup quarterbacks are truly limited. What if Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, Tom Brady, Donovan MacNabb go down with an injury? The teams will plunge into the ground like a plane crashing from the sky.

I'm just really frustrated and spoiled being lucky enough to watch two of the greatest QBs of all time from birth til adulthood. (Joe Montana and Steve Young) If you are lucky enough to have an elite QB on your team, don't take it for granted. You should cherish the fact that you can wear your team colors proudly, appreciate knowing you can make the playoffs each year, and believe that he can lead you to victory when behind in the 4th quarter. It's a beautiful thing to have, so feel blessed.

Thanks for letting me ramble if your still reading this. lol

IF I WERE THE 49ERS GENERAL MANAGER FOR A DAY

IF I WERE THE 49ERS GENERAL MANAGER FOR A DAY…….. MY “DREAM TEAM “OF COACHING PERSONNEL THAT I NEED TO INTERVIEW:

THE CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED HEAD COACH MARTY SCHOTTENHEIMER, MOST RECENTLY WITH THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS, IS A PRIME CANDIDATE FOR A HEAD COACHING JOB IN THE NFL THAT THE SF 49ERS SHOULD SERIOUSLY CONSIDER HIRING AT THE END OF THE SEASON. IN MARTY’S 21 YEARS AS A COACH ONLY TWO OF THOSE YEARS WERE BELOW .500. HE IS A PROVEN WINNER AND KNOWS HOW TO BUILD A PLAYOFF WINNING TEAM. HE HAS 8 DIVISION CHAMPIONSHIP TITLES, 13 DOUBLE DIGIT WINNING SEASONS, NOT TO MENTION THE ABILITY TO HIRE A STAFF OF EXPERIENCED ASSISTANTS TO HELP HIM SUCCEED. HE IS ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED COACHES OUT THERE BECAUSE THE ONLY ACHIEVEMENT HE IS MISSING IN HIS HALL OF FAME CAREER IS A SUPER BOWL RING. THAT’S THE ONE THING THAT WE WANT SO BADLY EVERY YEAR. HE’S HUNGRY FOR HIS CHANCE TO GET TO THE BIG DANCE AND WON’T STOP TILL HE GETS FED.

ANOTHER COACH THAT’S AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW AND IN MY OPINION, WOULD BE A GREAT PROSPECT FOR THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR POSITION, IS BRIAN BILLICK. HE IS AN OFFENSIVE GENIUS! A BRILLIANT MAN AND CAN GAME PLAN LIKE NO OTHER. HE HAS THE HARDWARE FROM WINNING SUPER BOWL XXXV IN 2000 COACHING THE BALTIMORE RAVENS IN HIS 2ND YEAR COACHING!
MY NEXT POSITION ON MY LIST OF HIRES WOULD BE THE DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR SPOT. THERE ARE A FEW GUYS I HAVE IN MIND TO INTERVIEW WITH. FIRST WOULD BE CURRENT USC DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR MONTE KIFFIN. MONTE IS MOST KNOWN BY HIS JOB AT TAMPA BAY WHEN HE FORMULATED THE “TAMPA TWO” DEFENSIVE SCHEME IN THE LATE 1990’S. THAT DEFENSE INCLUDED FUTURE HALL OF FAMERS WARREN SAPP AND JOHN LYNCH CRUSHING OPPOSING OFFENSES AROUND THE LEAGUE. WITH MONTE KIFFIN’S POWERFUL DEFENSE, TAMPA ROLLED OVER THE RAIDERS TO WIN SUPER BOWL XXXVII.

MY SECOND OPTION IS CURRENTLY DEF. COORDINATOR FOR THE SAN DIEGO CHARGERS, RON RIVERA. HE WAS PART OF THE INFAMOUS 1985 BEARS DEFENSE, AND WAS A DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR FOR THE CHICAGO BEARS WHEN THEY MADE A SUPER BOWL APPEARANCE, THEN LOST TO THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS.
SO TO CONCLUDE MY THOUGHTS ON MY FANTASY “DREAM TEAM” COACHING STAFF THAT I WOULD HIRE IF MY WISH CAME TRUE AND WAS ABLE TO MAKE FRONT OFFICE DECISIONS FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS. I DO WANT TO MENTION THE MORE OBVIOUS COACHING CANDIDATES I DID NOT MENTION BUT WOULD BE PLEASED TO EMPLOY: BILL COWHER, AND JON GRUDEN. I FEEL THAT ANY VETERAN COACH THAT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFUL IN THIS LEAGUE WOULD BE A MAJOR UPGRADE FROM THE CURRENT HEAD COACH MIKE SINGLETARY.

Thank you for letting me dream….. Paris Stephens

PARIS THE NFL GIRL SPORTS BLOG: Makes me sick!

PARIS THE NFL GIRL SPORTS BLOG: Makes me sick!

Makes me sick!

I just threw up as a reaction to how the 49ers have played this season. Incredible disappointment, for a team with high expectations, talented players, who aren't  being developed to reach their potential. The 49ers coaching personnel have been nothing short of an epic failure.
Head coach Mike Singletary has proven he doesn't have the mental capacity to be a head coach, or even a coordinator in the national football league. The ownership is careless to have hired their 3rd consecutive rookie head coach with minimal experience and absolutely no proven philosophies to outsmart opposing teams.

Speaking of teams, the 49ers Special Teams unit plays very sloppy. Can't tackle, block, or hold on to the football most of the time. Not to mention giving horrible field position for the offense to work with. All three phases of the 49ers have been a HUGE disappointment and it makes me ill.

The fact that ownership did not even TRY to interview other coaches at the end of Mike Singletary's interim coaching season just verifies what I've thought all along about the Yorks....They don't care about winning, or doing their due diligence to talk to coaches with proven track records, new philosophies and super bowl rings. The coaches that WERE available that ownership passed up on include, Mike Shanahan, Marty Shottenhiemer, John Gruden, Bill Parcels, Brian Billick and the list goes on.... The quarterbacks that they passed up on in favor of Alex Smith were Donovan MacNabb, Mike Vick, Vince Young, Brady Quinn, Brett Favre, and the list goes on.

Until the 49ers hire front office personnel that know what they are doing, can hire qualified assistants to improve the team at every position, coaches that can keep up and out smart opposing head coaches exotic game plans and run an offense that confuses opposing defenses and a General Manager that has been successful, no one will respect this team and the new stadium in Santa Clara will be an empty one.

I hope I'm wrong about all of this and the 49ers find a way to win some games and not become a joke like the Lions, Bills, and Browns organizations.

 Love and respect, Paris Stephens
