The 20th year!

This marks the 20th year of an exciting, yet excessively dramatic career of Gun slinging Brett Favre. Now that it's official, (allegedly and supposedly,) we can all get our popcorn ready and watch the Quarterback we all love to hate play out another chapter to his storied Hall of Fame career.

Have you thrown up in your mouth yet? I cannot believe how much freaking media attention Brett is STILL getting at 41 years old! I don't understand WHY he gets so much attention (much more than a deserving player like Tom Brady.) when he only has ONE super bowl championship ring in 20 years! Which happened well over a decade ago.

Another impressive stat Brett has accomplished in 2 decades is being the all time leader in interceptions.  He should be so proud! Why do we care so much about someone who lets his teammates down time and time again in clutch situations. ( playoffs, 4th quarter blunders, and 2 recent NFC Championship games.)

He has been the sole reason his team has lost going to the big one and yet they all seem to forget his mistakes and remember the good times and when those bullets shot from his gun slinging arms actually reach their intended targets. Which is always magical, inspiring and reminds us all why we love the game so much.

For some reason he gets away with breaking most of the rules and has his own special rulebook where training camps do not apply to someone of his stature, there is no limit for his self indulgent ego, and he's allowed to charm us with his southern charm.
Good luck this year Brett, I hope you make it worth our while and actually play in the Super Bowl to show NFL Owners that you're not too old to play after 30 years old.

I've been watching Mr. Favre since I was 9 years old. So have most of his teammates! I just can't stay mad at him for too long! Apparently most of the general public feel the same. These are my thoughts, thank you for letting me vent.

Love and hugs,
Paris Stephens
